Reflections from PMM Noya on Crafting Taboola’s DeeperDive Narrative

Launching Taboola Push just four months after joining Taboola was the first real test of building a product narrative from the ground up here. A few months later, following that milestone, I stepped up to lead the product marketing function for DeeperDive, Taboola’s new GenAI answer engine for the open web. Thanks to these projects, I’ve gained a deep understanding of the market and a passion for the fast-paced ‘unknowns’ of AI. Here’s a look inside how being a part of this innovative project has defined both my growth and our collective journey at Taboola.

On May 20, 2025, I officially stepped into the role of lead PMM for DeeperDive. I still clearly remember the initial call with my managers. They pitched it as a high-profile project with those “startup vibes” I’ve always loved, telling me they believed I could truly thrive there.

They were right.

Looking back after nearly a year, I can safely say that DeeperDive hasn’t just been another project—it’s been a career-defining journey. What made the process so special was the scale of the challenge we were tackling, and the incredible people working behind the scenes to tackle it together.

Publishers today are navigating one of the biggest shifts the industry has faced in decades. As audiences increasingly turn to AI to ask questions and explore information, publishers are under pressure to compete by delivering more interactive, conversational experiences, without compromising the trust, credibility, and depth that define high quality journalism.

That’s exactly what we built DeeperDive to do: to bring AI-powered experiences directly onto publisher sites, grounded in their own content and editorial voice. I’m incredibly proud to have played a role in building a product that is helping redefine how audiences engage with trusted publishers like Gannett | USA Today and Reach PLC. Being part of the mission to support publishers through this transition has made this work feel bigger and more meaningful than any single launch or milestone I’ve worked on before.

From a PMM perspective, this was the ultimate playground. It’s not every day you get to take a concept with no history and build the entire narrative from scratch. I’ve lived the product development in real-time—learning as the code was written, tweaking our messaging weekly to match industry shifts, and constantly refining our tools to ensure our business team was set up for success.

In the process, I’ve had the rare privilege of working alongside true experts—smart, tireless individuals from across the company who are all obsessed with one goal: delivering the best possible product in a world that refuses to stand still.

It’s been a wild, fast-paced journey, and I’m still learning every single day. Between the incredible technology we’ve built and the experts I’m lucky enough to call colleagues, I can honestly say I wake up with a smile. I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be.

Now, DeeperDive is reaching an exciting new milestone: global expansion. The timing is perfect, as I head off on maternity leave to start a new “project” of my own. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for DeeperDive—I just know it’s going to be amazing because, like I said, the very best people are the ones building it.
