Taboola and Ciaopeople sign a two-year agreement for the content recommendation on the group's digital properties
Taboola (TBLA), a global leader in powering recommendations for the open web, helping people discover things they may like, is pleased to announce an exclusive two-year partnership with CiaoPeople, Italy’s leading publishing group in the digital field, publisher of Fanpage.it, the Jackal, Cookies.it, Ohga.it, Kodami.it and Geopop.it. With its properties and digital magazines, the publishing group reaches 7 out of 10 Italians connected to the Internet monthly (source: Comscore Q3 2021) and can count on a social community of over 46 million users.
Thanks to this new partnership, Taboola will have its products and formats available for Ciaopeople to integrate to build readership and improve site experience. The publisher will tap both Taboola Newsroom and Taboola Feed, which provides readers with personalized content and targeted ads to increase engagement and revenue opportunities.
“We are very happy with this collaboration,” said Fabrizio Barbato, CFO of Ciaopeople. “In fact, we have identified in Taboola, with its content recommendation platform, the right partner that allows us to achieve the correct balance between our monetization needs and the need to improve the engagement of our readers.”
“In addition to producing high quality journalism in local news, entertainment and lifestyle topics, Ciaopeople has succeeded in building a large audience especially with demographics of Millennials and Gen Z,” said Adam Singolda, CEO and founder, Taboola. “We are excited to build this long term relationship where Ciaopeople adapts our offerings for building readership, engagement, and insights across the board.””
