As a Bid Ops Optimization Engineer working on the Publisher Professional Services team in São Paulo, you will be responsible to proactively identifying optimization opportunities via complex data sets, conducting configurations necessary to improve performance, managing support/ break fix escalations, and working closely with Account Managers, RnD and Product to scale and support activity.

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

  • 3+ years of experience in a sales engineering, 3rd level support, technical account management or similar role
  • Strong SQL skills — ability to write queries, analyze large datasets, and translate results into actionable optimization strategies
  • Solid understanding of web technologies including JSON, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ability to read/debug, not heavy coding)
  • Proven ability to design and analyze A/B tests to measure performance impact and support decision-making
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to proactively investigate header bidding or integration issues using data, logs, and API responses
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders

Nice to haves include:

  • Experience with the ecosystem of ad networks, DSPs, and ad serving platforms
  • Experience with BI tools for data visualization (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI)
  • Background or experience in UX or publisher monetization workflows
  • Direct client-facing experience in a technical advisory role
  • Hands-on experience with Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics (GA4), or similar tools used in tag/pixel management and tracking

How you’ll make an impact:

As a Bid Ops Optimization Engineer, you’ll bring value by:

  • Analyzing large, complex auction datasets using SQL and internal reporting tools, identifying optimization opportunities and providing data-driven recommendations to improve our publishers’ performance. 
  • Designing and executing structured A/B tests, and presenting clear insights and uplift analyses to internal and external stakeholders 
  • Implementing optimizations and troubleshooting configurations, ensuring accurate tag firing, pixel tracking, and smooth integration with publisher systems.
  • Acting as the technical specialist for Yahoo, working closely with dedicated Account Managers, Strategic Partnerships leadership, and Product teams (Israel-based) to ensure long-term success.
  • Collaborating with Product on the rollout of new features and providing feedback informed by testing and data analysis.
  • Investigating technical issues proactively, including reviewing auction logs, API responses, and front-end code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), to resolve anomalies and ensure performance accuracy.
  • Contributing to team best practices for troubleshooting and optimization approaches, with a focus on scalable, proactive solutions
